A settlement in the 'NSync suit? Don't you believe it
for a moment

MTV has reported that NSync and Trans Continental Records' Louis J. Pearlman
have reached a settlement in Pearlman's $150 million breach of contract suit
and NSync's $25 million counter-suit. And USA Today repeated the story. So
it mucst be true, right? Ah, no.
"The settlement talks have been going well, but there's no settlement at
this point," said Jay Marose, spokesman for Trans Con.
"I don't know where that came from, but it's not true, and its still too
soon to be talking about a settlement," said a spokeperson for NSync's New
York attorney, Helne Freeman. "The next round of settlement talks has not
even been scheduled yet."
