Three *Nsync lovers walked 160 miles to see their
pop
heroes in concert and to raise some money for charity.
Sarah Hayes (16), Jamie Johnson (15) and Stephanie
Flick (14) spent eight days walking to an *Nsync
concert in Pontiac, Mich. to raise money for their
local children's hospital and Mothers Against Drunk
Driving, Wall of Sound reports.
The idea of an *Nsync-a-thon came to the three
girls
as they stood in line to buy copies of the group's
latest album "No Strings Attached".
The girls collected over $2,000 before their march
through bake sales, car washes and pledge sponsors and
expect to make another $4,000 now that their walk has
been successfully completed.
The girls set off on their adventure on July 8,
trailed by Jamie Johnson's father who drove behind
them in a car. They walked for 25 miles the first
three days, 14 the following two and 18 for the last
three.
Each night, the girls had a chance to relax free of
charge as the Hampton Inn hotel gave them free
accommodations during their trip.
"I don't know if we'd do it again," Sarah Hayes
said. "We'd need at least a year to recuperate."
In more *Nsync news, the group's concert in Detroit
was filmed and will make its way to giant screen.
Really Big Film Corp., a company which produces and
distributes films for giant-screen venues said
"*Nsync: Bigger Than Live" is expected to hit theatres
in October, Variety reports.
