NSYNC sunk by compilation album

NSYNC's 'Celebrity' falls to #2 this week on the American chart following its near record breaking debut last week.

The compilation album "Now That's What I Call Music Vol 7" leap frogged NSYNC this week, pushing the boy band down to the number 2 slot.

"Now That's What I Call Music" sold 621,425 units this week in America, compared to 460,000 for NSYNC. Last week the NSYNC album debuted at #1 after selling 1.8 million copies and outselling number 2 thru 10 added together.

The position is still somewhat of a victory for NSYNC. Their song 'This I Promise You' is featured on both albums.

Also in the top 5 this week, Alicia Keys 'Songs in a Minor' at #3 after selling 189,125 units. #4 belongs to Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz with 116,400 units and Staind hold down spot 5 with 113,625 copies of 'Break The Cycle' moving out of store.
